The Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG group has blocked the entrance of the Aso Rock, the Presidential Villa in Abuja, a report from the Nigerian capital said.

The group is campaigning for the rescue of the over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped from their secondary school dormitory in Chibok by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014.

The activists were led by a co-founder, a former World Bank vice president and also former education minister, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili.

A photo of the activists show them seated on the road, with their mouths taped shut. The group, mostly women, were stonewalled by police officers from entering the grounds of the seat of power in Nigeria.

The BBOG group has made repeated attempts to march to the Presidential Villa but was always turned back by security operatives.

The group has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not working hard enough to rescue the Chibok schoolgirls and reneging on his 2015 campaign promise to swiftly release the girls.
